The Pimax Dream Air is a PC VR headset with Sony micro-OLED displays at 3840 x 3552 per eye, pancake lenses, and a visor weighing under 170 grams.
Pimax spent years building its name on giant, ultra-wide field of view headsets, so it’s genuinely interesting that one of their newest is also one of the smallest and lightest you can buy. It’s essentially the high-end Crystal Super image squeezed into a much smaller shell: micro-OLED with true blacks, ConcaveView pancake lenses, and a visor under 170 grams (closer to 300g assembled with the strap). It’s PC only, so it needs a gaming PC at all times, and it starts at $1,999.
